Healing for us means love dissolving fear. Breathing freely. Feeling light-hearted. Being able to sit or lie with ease, no restlessness. Pleasant dreams. Appetite. Living instead of merely surviving. Loving people and growing close with them. --- Ah, too much, gotta end this. LOVE. Healing is LOVE.

Healing is finding my voice. No longer being afraid to share my story and be listened too. Holding in those feelings and thoughts, what happened to you is never the best way to heal. Find your voice and I promise you’ll be heard.

Just know that it was never your fault for what happens. You are strong and deserve to be happy in who you are.

Healing is a continual journey, it doesn't end when you get out of the relationship. I'll never be fully healed, but life has to go on, I will not deny myself happiness due to past horrors. I'm one of the lucky ones that escaped with my life and for that I'm thankful every day, others are not so lucky.

Healing to me is being kind to yourself and allow yourself to have those hard days, allow your heart to love yourself because you are pretty amazing. For me art was my way to express those feelings even though I was not good at it, I just let it be and kept going.
