サバイバーへのメッセージ
Healing is a process, not a destination. You may have setbacks, but that doesn't make you any less "strong." Allow yourself to be vulnerable. Hold your story tightly, but not too tightly so that you suffer alone in silence. You do not need to go through this alone.
いやしのメッセージ
Healing means being gentle with myself. Allowing myself to be vulnerable and recognizing that my trauma is important, but I am more important.
I often think about what I would want to tell "child me"...the one still living inside me who still sometimes feels lost and afraid from the trauma she has experienced. I think what would be most important for me to tell her is that despite how stuck, lonely, and vulnerable you feel now...healing is possible. I asked the creator of this artwork to depict that through her talented lens and this is what she came up with. I truly could not think of a more beautiful and vibrant image to showcase that. We all have a child part of ourselves. Sometimes thinking about comforting her and giving her a hug makes me more patient with myself and my setbacks. The world is hard, and sometimes you may feel hopeless, but healing is possible...I am living proof!
